Active IQ Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Postnatal Clients Training Course

The Level 3 Award for Pre and Post Natal is aimed at those of you wanting to run specialist pre and post natal exercise, fitness and health classes and courses. It can also give you the confidence to welcome in pregnant clients or new mums so you can support your clients through this exciting time of their life. 


You can then enrol on to our specialist pregnancy and post natal PIlates course to run specialist pilates classes in your  community.


What Does the Course Cover?


Understanding Pregnancy Physiology: Dive deep into the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, ensuring you can tailor classes to provide maximum benefits while minimizing risks.


Biomechanical Considerations: Learn how to adapt exercises to accommodate the changing biomechanics of pre and postnatal clients, allowing them to exercise with confidence and comfort.


Health and Safety: Discover the key health and safety considerations for clients in this unique life stage, ensuring their well-being throughout the fitness journey.


Entry requirements


You must hold one of the following, or equivalent: 


  • Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing. 

  • Level 2 Certificate in Group Training. 

  • Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. 

  • Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork. 

  • Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga.

Heather West

Heather has been in the fitness industry for nearly 20 years, working most recently within Active Newcastle, the local Government initiative to get us all moving and healthy. Heather is an experienced Personal Trainer and brings those skills to her teaching role at PilatEASE. Heather has a particular passion around pre/post natal fitness and heads up our curriculum and training in that area, she is working on writing Pre/post natal Pilates (mat) & Reformer Pilates for pregnancy and beyond.
