PilatEASE Whitley is the Pilates Reformer specialist in Northumberland, helping you take control of your body.

PilatEASE Whitley is the perfect place to come for beginners, those with injuries, a bad back, sore shoulders, neck and hips. Already fit and want to get fitter? We can help you too with our improvers and more advanced classes. You don't have to be flexible, you don't have to be bendy or wear Lycra, young or old - everybody is welcome in our studio!

Meet the Team

Both Directors Nicci Rowlands and Heather West fell in love with Pilates to help them to reduce pain from their back (Nicci) and hips (Heather) Qualifying as a Pilates Teachers changed their whole way of training. Pilates for Wellness is their absolute passion.

Director & Lead Instructor

Nicci Rowlands

Following a back injury, the Director of PilatEASE UK Nicci Rowlands, ended up with a bulging disc, sciatica along with hip, leg and knee pain. This led Nicci down the path of specialising in Pilates for therapy and wellness.

Qualifying as a Pilates Reformer Trainer changed Nicci’s whole way of training. Back Care Pilates and Pilates for Wellness are her absolute passion.

Nicci continues to train in therapeutic Pilates and her classes are perfect for beginners and those who need extra support. There are also classes at the studio which will challenge those who are further along in their wellness journey.

Director & Instructor

Heather West

Heather has worked in the fitness industry for over a decade including having a very important role at Active Newcastle - responsible for the health & wellbeing for the whole City. Heather started her journey at PilatEASE as a customer enjoying her Pilates classes and how they helped her ‘dodgy hip’. Nicci saw the potential in Heather and invited her to join her on this wild ride! Heather teaches Core, Sculpt & Joe’s Gym classes. She also, co-owns our sister studio in Ryton

Summer

Summer was a customer at PilatEASE and loved it so much she decided to do her Pilates Diploma with PilatEASE Training School and did both her Reformer Training not long after. Summer teaches Core classes.

Hannah

Hannah has a passion for boxing and Pilates, both modalities complement each other. With her dance background Hannah loves the Reformer & Mat and brings a little spice to her classes. Hannah teaches Core, Power & Bounce classes.
